Invoice One

A plumber invoice app built for the call-out

A plumber invoice app meets the job at its worst moment: water somewhere it should not be, a customer who wants a number, and a repair nobody will ever see again once the wall is closed. Invoice One puts the parts and the labour on separate lines, keeps a photo of what you actually did, and takes the signature before you pack up.

Parts and labour, priced apart

The valve, the flexes and the two hours are separate lines with their own quantities. The customer can see what they are paying for the part and what they are paying for the work, which is most of the argument avoided.

The after-hours rate, without a second app

Save the call-out you charge at night as a saved item with its price, and it drops into the invoice by name. The rate you meant to charge is the rate that goes on the document.

A photo of the repair behind the wall

Once the panel is back on, the only record of the joint you made is the picture you took of it. Attach it to the invoice with a caption, and it prints after the document — useful the day somebody asks what was done, and more useful the day they ask who did it.

Signed off at the door

Hand the phone over and take a signature for the completed work. The name and the date print on the invoice, so the job is closed while you are still standing in it.

Quote first on the bigger jobs

A re-pipe is quoted, not invoiced. Send an estimate, and when the customer accepts it convert it to the invoice in one tap: the same lines, the same prices, and the two documents stay linked.

A plumber invoice app that records what was replaced

A plumber invoice app should leave a readable account of the repair, including the location and the part fitted. “Leak repair” may describe the call, but it does not identify the valve under the sink or the connection behind a panel. Put those details in the description while they are still clear. If you have made a temporary repair and quoted further work, keep the completed task distinct from the work still being offered.

Invoice One lets you put the part description and quantity on the invoice and explain the limits of the repair in its notes. Up to ten photos can accompany the document, so a wider view and a close view can each have a caption identifying what they show. For a return visit, an estimate can carry an expiry date. Its notes and any discount transfer when you convert it, with a new invoice date and payment deadline.

FAQ

Can I charge a call-out fee and the work separately?

Yes. They are two lines on the same invoice, each with its own price, and each can be taxed or not.

Can the customer pay on the spot?

Put a payment address on the invoice and it prints as a link and a QR code. Connect your own Stripe or Square account and each invoice carries a link for its own amount.

Does the estimate become the invoice?

In one tap, with the lines and the client carried across. The invoice keeps a link back to the estimate it came from.
